Membership at Lifestyle America Social Club

Membership at LASC is for people who want to do more than drop in. It’s for those who care about standards, want to support the work, and are willing to show up for community - not just consume it.

This page explains what membership is, what it isn’t, and how to move from guest to member to active contributor in the life of The_LODGE and the broader LASC ecosystem.
Why Join

Who Membership Is For

Not everyone needs to be a member - and that’s okay. Membership is for people who know they want to be part of the backbone of this community, not just occasional guests.

Intentional Involvement
Is This You?
Membership may be a fit if you:
  • Regularly attend LASC classes, events, or socials.
  • Value education, consent, and risk-aware community building.
  • Want a voice in how the space grows and evolves.
  • Are willing to respect and uphold LASC policies and decisions.
Expectations
What We Ask of Members
Members are expected to:
  • Follow all consent, safety, and conduct policies.
  • Model respectful behavior on and off the dungeon floor.
  • Engage with education and stay current on house standards.
  • Support staff and DMs when issues arise.

Pathway

How to Become a Member

The goal is not to build a gatekeeping wall - it’s to make sure the people inside the wall are aligned and safe to build with. The steps below are a suggested framework; you can adapt the details as your bylaws finalize.

Step 1
Attend & Learn
Before applying for membership, we strongly recommend:
  • Attending several events or classes at The_LODGE.
  • Completing Essential Education offerings when available.
  • Reading the public Privacy / Policies page.
This gives you a feel for our style, structure, and expectations before you commit to anything deeper.
Step 2
Submit a Membership Interest
When you’re ready:
  • Complete a membership interest or application form.
  • Provide basic contact info and emergency contact.
  • Acknowledge understanding of core policies and rules.
The acknowledgement will be done in person.
Membership Inquiry
Step 3
Review & Approval
Leadership or a designated membership committee may:
  • Review your application and attendance history.
  • Ask follow-up questions or schedule a conversation.
  • Confirm or decline membership based on community safety and fit.
LASC reserves the right to decline membership to protect the safety and integrity of the community.
Step 4
Onboarding & Next Steps
Once approved, you may:
  • Get access to the Members Portal (if active).
  • Receive information about members-only events.
  • Be invited to volunteer or committee pathways.
You’ll also be reminded of how to raise concerns, file incident reports, and participate in the health of the space.
Right to Revoke Membership

Membership is a privilege, not a shield. Serious policy violations, consent breaches, harassment, or behavior that endangers others may result in suspension or revocation of membership at LASC’s discretion, following our internal incident and review process.

Beyond Membership

Volunteering & Leadership

Some members will feel called to go further - to help staff events, monitor the dungeon, join committees, or eventually step into leadership roles. This is where that pathway starts.

Volunteers
Service Roles
Common volunteer roles include:
  • Event setup and teardown
  • Door / check-in and hospitality
  • Dungeon Monitor (with additional training)
  • Kitchen / snack table / aftercare support
Volunteers are expected to uphold LASC standards and may be asked to sign internal agreements acknowledging their responsibilities.
Volunteer Interest
Leadership
Committees & Beyond
From the membership base, some may step into:
  • Committee roles (Education, Events, Finance, etc.)
  • Special project teams (large events, ETMR planning, etc.)
  • Board or officer positions as openings and bylaws allow
Leadership is about service, accountability, and modeling our values - not titles for their own sake.
